We were all finally well enough to partake in the Christmas celebration!! We went over to Mimi and Papa's house around 10am. Took family pictures and then opened gifts.
Hannah definitely got the concept of opening gifts this year! She was happy to open anything with wrapping paper on it:) Dylan was a very good helper with unwrapping as well. No spatting between Hannah and Dylan at all while opening gifts about who got to open what!
Dylan and Hannah got leap pad reading systems (and three books each to go with them), a mini trampoline with a handle to hold, a little people princess castle, a work bench, hungry hippos game, race track, singing nighttime teddy bears, a fort building kit, tutus, a nightlight/clock toy(to learn to tell time), a marble ramp maze, Lenox ornaments (shaped like tricycles) with Dylan and Hannah's names on them and a Swarovsky crystal snowflake ornament. Mommy got some Aveda foot lotion and Daddy got some cheese curds and cashews. We also got a fancy universal remote for our entertainment system downstairs.
Dylan and Hannah game Mimi a beautiful little dish with a cover and Papa a bowl (to eat his Cheerios in) that they had made at the ceramic painting place.
After opening gifts we played with all of our new toys for awhile before having lunch. Mimi had made a delicious meal of ham, turkey meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, lettuce salad, green olives, sweet pickles and bread. For desert we had chocolate cake, frosted our own Christmas cookies and ice cream (with Cool Whip of course). It was all delicious. Hannah serenaded us with "Baaa Baaa Black Sheep" and Dylan and Hannah sang "Go Tell It On The Mountain".
We played a little more until Hannah had to go for her nap. While Hannah napped. Dylan and Mimi played "hide the button", we all played with our new toys and visited. Once Hannah returned from her nap, we all continued to have fun with our new gifts.
Dylan had a lot of fun with the camera tripod and pretended to take photos and video of everyone and everything. Hannah loved chasing poor Suva around (as usual) and taking one candy cane after another off of the tree to eat the "crooked part" before moving onto the next one:) Hannah kept trying to carry the marble from the marble ramp/maze to locations other than the ramp maze. She carried them by lifting the skirt of her dress to form kind of basket:) Dylan and Hannah both had a blast crawling in and out of their new fort (that Daddy helped create) as well as on and off of the trampoline. Dylan and Hannah also played with Mimi's two trains:)
We reheated the delicious food for supper and also had more dessert of course! We played some more before Hannah and Dylan selected the cups they wanted to play when taking their baths!
