Christmas 2012 (Round 1)

This was a very virus infused Christmas. Mommy, Dylan and Hannah were all sick so we weren't able to travel to Milwaukee as planned for Christmas:( Mimi Otte was very sick as well so couldn't come over to our house either:(

Sooo. . we had a low key (as low key as you get with a 2 and a 5 year old) Christmas at our house. Dylan and Hannah left cookies and 9 carrots (one for each reindeer including Rudolph) for Santa. Santa and the reindeer ate all that we left them (except for some crumbs) which Dylan and Hannah thought was pretty cool! Santa left us gifts under the tree AND in our stockings!

We opened the gifts under the tree and then ate breakfast.  We ate whole wheat pancakes, eggs, fruit and cupcakes to help celebrate the fact that it was Jesus' birthday. We even sang Happy Birthday to Jesus! Then we went down to see what Santa left us in our stockings:) We got a Hi-Ho Cherry-O game, Mickey Mouse bowling set, toy washing machine/iron/cleaning spray bottle/pretend spray starch, pretend food for our kitchen, princess sweatshirt (for Hannah) and a giant semi that folds out into a race track with lots of little cars from the gifts under the tree.  We got toy MP3 music player, a game for the X Box, a giant torpedo (to use in the pool) and lots of treats (suckers, tootsie rolls, bunny fruits and fruit bars) in our stockings.

We played with all our new gifts before lunch. We had noodles and pizza (per Dylan and Hannah's request) for lunch. After Hannah's nap, Papa came to visit for a little while and brought a toy wooden train for Dylan and one for Hannah too! We had a lot of fun driving our new trains and show Papa all of our new toys!

There was snow on the ground (enough for sledding if we had been well enough to do so) but it was really cold with the temperature in the single digits most of the day. Brrrr.

We are so blessed and thankful for the gifts that God has given us! We look forward to celebrating Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Rudzik's house and Mimi and Papa's house too (once we are all well)!!
