We traveled to down towards Milwaukee to Grandma and Grandpa Rudzik's house for Easter a few days early. We had fun taking walks down to the boat launch, throwing rocks in the water, playing with the neighbors dog, having cousin Lily over to play, coloring Easter eggs and making crafts! Cousin Lily even got to stay overnight one night!
On Easter morning Dylan and Hannah found the Easter baskets the Easter bunny had left them. After breakfast we headed outside to hunt for Easter eggs the Easter bunny had hidden. Dylan and Hannah learned from Grandma Rudzik how to have "Egg Wars" to see whose egg cracked first when tapped together:)
After Hannah's morning nap we headed over to Aunt Jan and Uncle Rick's house to celebrate with the rest of the Rudzik clan. Dylan, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Rudzik had headed over earlier since Hannah slept so long:)
We brought a special little cake for Hannah to blow out birthday candles on so Great Grandma Rudzik could watch (since she hadn't been able to be there for Hannah's birthday having just had knee replacement surgery). We ate some lunch, played (with Andy and Ella Mlagan), visited with Aunt Netti, Uncle Rick, Cousin Danielle, Great Grandma Rudzik, Aunt Jan and Uncle Rick. Hannah is still somewhat shy around the aunts and uncles but she is starting to warm up a little!
We had an Easter egg hunt too! Harvey the giant pink bunny was of course in attendence to watch over us! Dylan, Hannah and Andy (and Ella with a little help) had a blast collecting eggs with coins in them! Every body played some more and visited until it was time to go! We had a blast!!
Later in the day, after we got back to Grandma and Grandpa Rudzik's house, Lily came over to play. We again hunted for Easter eggs and played into the evening. Dylan and Lily pretended to be building a motorcyle out of a clothes basket with flowers decorating it and everything. They each had one of Grandpa's baseball hats on and bendable flowers bent around their necks like a phone/microphone to talk to each other. It was priceless!!!
What a wonderful and fun filled Easter trip!! We were all definately tired with 3 out of 4 of us having caught a cold by the time we left!
