Steve took part in the Rochesterfest Triathalon on Sunday. He did the "olympic" length (as opposed to the "sprint" length) which means just under one mile of swimming (twice around Foster Erand), about 25 mile of biking and a 10K run. It was windy which made the biking a bit of a challenge on the way out with a great tail wind on the way back! Steve did awesome and we are very proud of him! He worked hard to prepare for it (getting up way to early some mornings to get his swimming training in)! Dylan, Grammy Otte, Papa Otte and I had fun watching the race. There were something like 675 participants (a lot of those doing the sprint). Here are some photos from during and after the race.
Steve just before the start of the race.

Steve finished with the swim and running up to the transition area to get on his bike.

Dylan sharing daddy's post-race meal.

Dylan is such a "ham" in front of the cameras now. He definately knows how to "smile" for the camera.

Way to go Steve!!!!!
PS: Steve said he really liked the triathalon thing! Looks like we better start budgeting for a new road bike for him! We didn't need that new sports car we were looking into buying anyway (just kidding)!
