We have this little girl (or guy, but we have named it "Susie" from the "Susie the Squirrel" book) visit the glass sliding door of our deck to collect walnuts that we toss our for her. Papa Otte was nice enough to buy us a huge bag of wanuts from Sam's Club to feed to Susie. If there are no nuts when she arrives she will scratch on the glass to let us know! She doesn't even run away when I open the glass sliding door to toss out the nuts! Dylan can even bang on the glass and she just sits there calmly eating. We have discovered that it is actually three different squirrels (each with easily recognizable scars) visiting but Dylan doesn't seem to notice the difference. In fact, the squirrels visit so often the Dylan doesn't think it is that big of a deal by the end of each day!
